CREST Waltham Forest is a local charity which has been serving the people of Waltham Forest since 1971 and has managed Harmony Hall since 1999. Harmony Hall is a multi-cultural family centre serving the people of central Walthamstow.
The premises are ideally located just off the busy Walthamstow Market and five minutes’ walk from Walthamstow Central train, bus and tube stations. The premises and the wide range of groups and activities that take place there, reflect the vibrancy and cultural diversity of the area making Harmony Hall a lively and valued space serving the local community. CREST Waltham Forest provides mental health and dementia services and it’s work at Harmony Hall supports those aims. CREST overseas the Harmony Health Hub, a collaboration of mental health services and service-user led mental health groups.
Harmony Hall is proud to be the base for the Waltham Forest Hearing Voices Group, The Waltham Forest Bipolar Support Group, the weekly lunch club provided by East London Mental Health Support (ELMS), and ThinkArts!, which along with Artworks, promotes recovery through artistic expression and both groups regularly display exhibitions in the foyer gallery.
In recognition of its work in mental health, CREST Waltham Forest, in partnership with Waltham Forest Council has just been announced as the London hub for the ‘Time To Change’ campaign to reduce stigma and promote a wider understanding of mental health issues.
