The Rhapsody Room in Walthamstow’s Harmony Hall just off Walthamstow High Street is now fully equipped with a professional sound and lighting rig. Able to seat 90 people and with an adjacent green room, Harmony is now able to offer local dramatic groups and others wanting to promote performance events, a well-equipped venue right at the heart of Waltham Forest.  We are ready to accept bookings. Panto season is upon us! Oh yes it is!  Starlighters are performing ‘Cinderella’ this year.

Based on the first of Oscar Wilde’s stories to be published, local musical theatre group Starlighters brought their stage adaptation for their first full two-night production at Harmony Hall, The Canterville Ghost. As a result of this £500 was raised towards Harmony’s disability ramp fund.

Save Our Petshop – After 50 years on Walthamstow High Street, the petshop is being evicted for a brand new coffee shop. Can anyone save the day? “The Umbrella Party” – Tories? Labour? The Umbrella Party are now in power. Lies and politics from a teen perspective.

Raydon Productions presented “Showtime” – an evening of variety bursting with a host of much-loved songs from films and shows, performed by local entertainers, plus jazz band Five to Midnight. All proceeds went to the improvement of Harmony Hall for the local community. As a result of this £440 was raised towards Harmony’s disability ramp fund.

For those into both sweets and steampunk, a veritable feast of drama hit Harmony Hall and Walthamstow High Street tonight with the first ever performances of two dramas by local youth theatre group Grow Your Own Theatre — “Monkey Doo and the Scary Sweets Mystery” and “The Antelopian Mongoose — A Victorian Steampunk Melodrama”. Hopefully, the first of many more to come.
